I am a Psychologist from the Universidad del Valle de México (Mexico City) and Counsellor from the Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors (Brisbane). I have over 20 years of experience giving therapy. I am originally from Mexico and have been living in Australia for more than 8 years. I am the happy mother of two beautiful daughters who are the great engine of my life. I am passionate about helping people find that balance between their emotions and the challenges of daily life, supporting their process to find the skills they have internally to overcome their problems.
I have experience working in the migrant community, where I have supported them with topics such as migratory grief, depression, anxiety, adaptation and life coach. I also specialize in women, working on issues such as self-esteem, anxiety, interpersonal relationships, motherhood, domestic violence, and empowerment. The theories and approaches I work with: psychotherapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, trauma informed, person centred and Mindfulness. I am a member of the Australian Counsellor Association (ACA), and as part of it, I am constantly updated on the area of Mental Health.
