Description:

OPD Points: 12

The Family Systems Institute will be hosting its 22nd Annual Conference, on Wednesday 20th and Thursday 21st August. The topic this year is Seeing Patterns in Family Emotional Process. A relationship system automatically moves to regulate itself to keep the system functioning. Bowen theory observes predictable patterns in relationships that are part of the automatic ways relationships organise themselves and adapt when the system is under stress. The conference will include keynote speakers, workshops, panel discussions and Q&A.

Key Learning Objectives / Outcomes:

Join us for this two-day conference as we unpack relationship patterns and explore what helps and hinders calmer family relationships from a family systems approach.

This conference will explore the helpful aspects of these mechanisms – distance, conflict, over/under functioning, triangling – as well as highlight examples of when the patterns themselves become part of the relationship dilemma.
