Course One- Modulated Teaching through an Online Learning Portal.  The Eye Movement Integration Therapy (EMIT) Training Institute provides a multi-modal adult learning platform that has as its goal the provision of state-of-the-art knowledge and practice in the professional application of EMIT. We also aim to provide high-level education with regard to Eye Movement Desensitization (EMDR) and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP).We achieve this via a mix of physical (in the room) workshops, online learning (using the EMIT Learning Management System), one-one supervision/mentorship, continuing professional development, and interactive group seminars.Practitioners who successfully complete the Five online basic modules, and their associated 5 assessments/assignments are deemed competent and receive a certificate of completion for EMIT/EMDR Theory. Following the successful completion of course one and their assessments, practitioners can then choose to enroll in Course Two which consists of a 3 Day Workshop covering in detail the practical delivery of EMIT/EMDR in a clinical setting. It is then followed by completing 50 hours of client face-to-face delivery of EMIT, and undertaking ongoing supervision. Once completed and deemed competent they receive a Certificate of completion and accreditation as an EMIT Practitioner level 1.This is then followed by Course Three, which is the delivery of Ten Monthly Advance Training Workshops in EMIT/EMDR in a Clinical Setting (Workshops (3hrs/day) total of 33 Hrs). Once completed they receive a Certificate of completion and accreditation as an EMIT Practitioner level 2.They then can choose to complete concurrently or separately Course Four,  undertaking 4 advanced modules in EMIT over a 12-month period (60 hrs of study). Once completed they receive a Certificate of completion and accreditation as an EMIT Practitioner level 3. Thus in course one we deliver the theory that underpins the view that “Eye Movement Integration Therapy (EMI) is an innovative treatment for the psychological consequences of distressing memories. It promotes healthful integration of the traumatic memory with counterbalancing, ameliorative information by using guided eye movements to facilitate access to the recorded multisensory and affective dimensions of the client's experience”, (Danie Beaulieu, PhD; 2005).Research indicates that it is an effective method that can tap into a person’s memory and enhance its natural ability to heal. As such, the presented modules provide outcome-based and clinical evidence of their effectiveness in helping people to heal from a variety of disturbing memories and associated sensory manifestations. The course study material is also designed to give you a strong baseline knowledge of EMIT/EMDR and how it is applied to assist clients in achieving their counselling goals.
