I support people to become the best version of themselves and help them navigate through life's challenges. I work with individuals of all ages and backgrounds, to help them understand themselves better whether it is in a relationship with themselves or with others. I hold a BA in Psychology and subsequent qualifications in Counselling, Life Coaching and Child Psychology. I have been running a private practice for the past eight years.
I specialise in working with individuals and couples who are facing:
- Mental Health Concerns: Anxiety, depression, panic disorders, OCD, PTSD, affective disorders
- Relationship and Family Issues: Couples therapy, conflict resolution, parenting support, mediation, family therapy
- Personal Growth and Development: Self-esteem, assertiveness training, life transitions, career and vocational planning, executive coaching, personal development
- Trauma and Abuse: Emotional abuse, physical abuse
- Workplace Challenges: Workplace bullying, stress, burnout, employee assistance programs
- Specialised Support: LGBTI issues, spiritual concerns, grief and loss, neuropsychology, life coaching.
I am passionate about creating a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental space for people from all backgrounds and orientations. My approach emphasises psychoeducation on behaviour, habits, cognitive distortions, and the subconscious connections between beliefs, values, and emotions.
My approach is rooted in evidence-based therapeutic models, including:
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): Helping clients identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress.
- Solution-Focused Therapy:Encouraging a forward-thinking mindset to find practical solutions and personal strengths.
- Narrative Therapy: Exploring and reshaping the stories we tell ourselves about our experience and identities.
Additionally, I incorporate insights from leading relationship experts such as Harville Hendrix, John Gottman, and Esther Perel to support clients in fostering healthier, more fulfilling relationships.
