Hey there,
I live and work on Gadigal Country, where I acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of this land, past, present and emerging.
I facilitate a counselling approach known as Narrative Practice, non-blaming, non-deficit and de-pathalogising approach with a foundation of ethics and Social Justice.
So if you have not found that cognitive-behavioural or psychologised forms of counselling resonated for you, perhaps Narrative Practice is for you?
Rather than working from a foundation of theories, Narrative Practice works from the personal and / or collective agency in people's lives; their knowledges, wisdoms, hopes, dreams, and intentions etc.
My approach has a key focus on identity work and the various identities a person may have in life.
Together, in whatever discussion we have, we will create rich stories, along landscapes of hope and possibility.
Warm regards,
August
