Chris Swanepoel-Trollip (MACA) - Registered Counsellor ACA (15477)
Chris is a compassionate and experienced Mental Health Counsellor, committed to supporting individuals through life’s challenges. As a registered member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA), Chris provides a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental space for people to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
He is a positive, enthusiastic, energetic person who brings passion to everything he does, and his attitude is infectious. He understands his clients' difficulties and the practical, emotional support they need to live happy, independent lives.
Chris works with clients dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship issues, addiction, and various other mental health concerns. He employs a client-centred approach, customising each session to meet the individual’s needs and goals. His calm and empathetic manner allows clients to feel supported and understood, while his practical strategies enable them to build resilience and move forward with confidence.
With qualifications in counselling and further professional development in areas such as trauma-informed care, mindfulness, and positive psychology, Chris brings both knowledge and genuine care to his work. His goal is to help people improve their emotional well-being, develop healthy coping skills, and live more balanced, fulfilling lives.
He is also qualified at the Mental Health Academy with a Lifetime Achievement, Anxiety, Depression, Working with Diversity, Focused Psychological Strategies, Trauma, Suicide Prevention, Relationships, Neuroscience, Mindfulness, Positive Psychology, Mental Health Disorders, and many more.
Working with clients, Chris focuses on developing an affinity with them. This is important to help build safe, trusting relationships. So, he creates a judgment-free zone for people to share difficult things about themselves. Chris is passionate about helping people overcome their mental health issues. He empowers and encourages them to develop and improve their coping skills to reach their full potential.
Working with Chris, his clients develop better coping skills to cope with their emotions. Chris plans and facilitates to ensure his clients get the results they want. He finds it rewarding seeing people leave with improved self-esteem and better able to handle their emotions and life's challenges.
Chris believes that healing happens through connection, and he’s passionate about walking alongside clients as they create meaningful change in their lives.
