My name is Diane and I am a
Masters level qualified and ACA registered Counsellor.
I have
supported people from diverse backgrounds experiencing circumstances that
require emotional support, guided understanding and practical, strength-based
solutions.
My experience includes
domestic and family violence, separation, parenting, family systems, addiction,
workplace injury, chronic or terminal illness, bereavement, grief and loss.
I focus on identity and lived
experience, with attention to the intersections of privilege and adversity.
Your story, intergenerational influences, and relationship to your world
matters.
I use a variety of
methodologies, depending on your needs and what you resonate with, as I believe
in client-led and person-centred care. I use a holistic, Humanist, Existential
and Biopsychosocial lens to encourage clarity, processing and decision-making.
Our therapeutic relationship
will be based on mutual resonance, connection, trust, empathy and
transformation.
I hope that no matter how long
or short a time we spend together, that you will receive a valuable and
constructive experience.
My focus is on broadening
perspectives, processing life’s significant changes, and reframing challenges
using frameworks that are culturally sensitive, trauma-informed and
intersectional.
My preferred interventions and
methodologies are Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour
Therapy (DBT), Family Systems, Somatic Awareness, Acceptance and Commitment
Therapy (ACT), Emotion – Focused Therapy (EFT), Psychoeducation and Solution
Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).
I am passionate about social
and emotional wellbeing, client service, organisational ethics, and building
rapport in a trustful therapeutic alliance. I hope to bring wisdom, compassion,
strength, and resilience to our counselling relationship.
I believe that it is possible
to contextualise adversity, process role transitions and move forward into recovery
and transformation. This can be achieved through my primary skills of
person-centred client support, empathic connection, collaborative treatment
planning and goal setting.
I offer a FREE 30-minute session
for us to meet, as well as a variety of session durations and 10 session
packages at a discounted rate. My service is exclusively online to ensure
access and convenience. I believe the online modality encourages disinhibition,
safety and accommodates time management and carer responsibilities.
You can
visit my website and book online efficiently, safely and easily. You may also want to visit my Facebook
and LinkedIn profiles, as well as my directory listings on Psychology Today,
Health Direct Australia and Pure Local. Or you can email or call me directly on
the contacts provided.
I look forward to meeting you.
