A very warm welcome from Jo Edmonds. With
over 25 years in the Disability Services sector, with a rich tapestry of roles
that range from direct support to administrative and coordination positions.
This extensive experience is further deepened by a personal lifetime of lived
experience, providing a unique and empathetic perspective on the needs and
challenges faced by individuals with disabilities. As the Director of Reality
Support Services, my journey from a establishing a NDIS Registered Company in 2022
delivering quality support coordination and Counselling.
My expertise encompasses working with
complex support needs and networks within both mainstream and NDIS systems,
demonstrating a versatile skill set that caters to a wide array of participant
requirements. The dedication to serving diverse communities is evident through
extensive work with LGBTQIA+, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People, and
CALD participants and families.
I provide a diverse range of
Counselling and Mental Health services including individual therapy, Grief and
Loss, Mental Health therapy, Depression and Anxiety. I use a person-centred
approach with treatments such as CBT, Narrative therapy, Grounding techniques, ACT, ABC and
many more.
The passion for working with trauma helping you to navigate your journey to success is matched
by my love for life outside of work, where I find joy in the company of parrots
and pets along with the joys of unwinding in front of light-hearted entertainment of romantic comedies
and reality TV.
