Expressive Therapy Clinic offers a unique opportunity for health care professionals to participate in a self-paced 10 session program specifically designed for clients of all ages who experience  ADHD symptoms. The adding of DBT Skills that are focused on addressing emotional dysregulation, impulsive control and inattention, which are often the most difficult symptoms of ADHD, are taught in this program. Manual and handouts included and videos of 10 sessions. (Optional creative exercises are also added and no talent is required). As an Art Psychotherapist as well as a Counsellor and DBT Consultant over the last 20 years, I have found that learning skills both verbally and non-verbally can be an advantage for clients. The knowledge gained is especially helpful for Health Care Professionals, Teachers, School Counsellors, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Counsellors, Art therapists, support workers, students and people interested in gaining more skills to increase general wellness for themselves and for others they work with.

Megan Shiell

Presenter Qualifications:

Megan Shiell has a Graduate Diploma in Expressive Therapies and has a Masters of Art Therapy.  She is a Level 4 Counsellor with ACA.  Megan has been comprehensively trained by Prof. Marsha Linehan’s trainers (2008).

Megan has extensive experience in coo-ordinating DBT programs over the 17 years and has also worked as a private practitioner support skills training DBT groups.  She has developed a variety of DBT programs for a range of client groups and a variety of age groups.  She now offers these programs as selfpaced programs.  Megan varies the comprehensive model to assist particular client groups and offers advice on how to structure DBT interventions.
