Megan Shiell
Presenter Qualifications:
Megan has completed a Graduate Diploma in Expressive Therapies and a Masters of Art Therapy in 2005. Megan has been comprehensively trained by Prof. Marsha Linehan’s trainers in DBT in 2008. Megan is a Level 4 Counsellor with ACA.
Megan is the founder of Expressive Therapy Clinic. She has trained over 2000 clinicians in DBT over the past 17 years. Megan has worked for private and public health prior to 2012 when she began her private practice and began training other clinicians in DBT. Megan has coordinated many DBT programs, both the comprehensive model and variations to the DBT model around Australia and New Zealand over the past 17 years. She has extensive experience in assisting clients in the skills of DBT and has worked alongside skills training groups as participant’s individual DBT therapist. Megan has adapted Art Psychotherapy and creative exercises to the many DBT programs she has designed for Expressive Therapy Clinic. She conducts two-day intensive training in live webinars monthly. Megan has also developed four programs using DBT and art making for a variety of client groups that are self-paced trainings.
