Welcome – I'm Dalai, founder of Ocean Counselling.
My journey into the field of mental health began through an unexpected path. After completing my secondary education, I earned both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Forensic Studies, specialising as a forensic expert. I began my professional career in Mongolia, working as a first responder and crime scene specialist. During this time, I witnessed the profound impact trauma can have on individuals, which sparked a personal and professional interest in mental health and well-being.
Driven by a desire to better understand these challenges—and to support others facing similar experiences—I later undertook formal studies in Counselling, Mental Health, and Community Services in Australia. Over the past five years, I’ve worked as a frontline community worker, supporting diverse individuals through complex life circumstances.
Today, I bring this unique background into my work as a registered counsellor (ACA) in private practice. At Ocean Counselling, I offer a safe, compassionate, and culturally sensitive space for individuals seeking guidance, healing, and personal growth.
