Hello my name is Gayle, a Mum and Grandmother. I am a Registered Level 4 Counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association. I am also a registered Counselling Supervisor with the College of Supervisors.
I am A Certified Bereavement Practitioner with Grief Australia having some 20 years experience learning about and providing counselling & support regarding complexities of grief and trauma. I understand that each person has their own unique way of feeling and dealing with their grief and life experiences.
My Qualifications: Master of Social Sciences - Counselling - Swinburne University. Diploma of Arts - Social Welfare - Monash University
I have worked in both Social Service settings and in Private Practice providing counselling to people for a range of issues such as grief & loss, substance use, domestic violence, intimate partner violence, complex carer responsibilities and mental health issues.
I offer a compassionate, empathic way of being with people to hopefully create a safe, supportive space for you to expression your thoughts , feelings or even sit with silence.
My practice is through a trauma informed lens and therapies include Solution Focused, Strength Based, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy & Mindfulness Practices.
