Drawing Hope Counselling Services focuses on helping people
to find hope and healing through engaging in art and creative therapies, as
well as through trauma informed counselling.
I am a kind, gentle and compassionate counsellor, and have over
twenty years experience of walking alongside people to help them find hope and
healing. My practice is person focused, trauma informed and neurodivergent
affirming. I work collaboratively with people to ensure each session is
adapted to meet their needs and suit their interests and abilities. Where
appropriate, I use expressive therapies such as engagement with art materials
and play therapy to assist with emotional regulation, expression, insight,
and release.
I am informed by my formal training and have a Masters of
Counselling, a Bachelor of Social Science majoring in Pastoral Counselling, and
a certificate in Art Therapy. I am also informed by my lived experiences of neurodiversity, being a third culture kid, and caring for neurodiverse family members.
