Jo is a compassionate and down-to-earth counsellor and the founder of Grounded Moments Counselling in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) and a Master of Counselling.
Jo works with adults and provides a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where clients can explore life’s challenges at their own pace. She understands that seeking support can feel daunting and is committed to creating a counselling experience that feels safe, respectful, and collaborative.
Jo offers in-person sessions, walk-and-talk counselling at Karlkurla Park, and online counselling, making support accessible and flexible.
She supports people with a wide range of concerns, including (but not limited to) anxiety, stress, overwhelm, grief and loss, processing trauma, relationship and friendship concerns, feeling stuck, confidence and self-esteem, shame, motivation, resilience, problem-solving, mindfulness, dealing with change, and gaining new perspectives.
As a Kalgoorlie local, Joanne is passionate about supporting her community and takes a grounded, practical, and client-centred approach. She believes in meeting each person where they are and supporting them to build clarity, emotional strength, and confidence moving forward.
