Danielle Aitken is an experienced counsellor and clinical
hypnotherapist, in practice since 2010.
With a background as a registered nurse
and midwife, Danielle brings a wealth of experience to her counselling
practice. Having attended additional study in the areas of neuroscience and
practical genetics she incorporates this knowledge into her solution focused counselling
practice where she sees clients for a range of issues, including anxiety, depression,
fertility and behavioural change.
She provides counselling support to both children and adults,
focusing on cognitive and behaviour change through effective therapeutic
techniques.
Danielle possesses a solid understanding of the physiology and
biology of the body and its powerful impact on our ability to create successful
change which she integrates into her therapy. Her practice is neuro-informed,
and she utilises principles of neuroplasticity and epigenetics with therapeutic
modalities such as cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) and other solution-focused
therapies.
Danielle is also an experienced Clinical Supervisor, Author and President
of the Australian Hypnotherapists’ Association and is dedicated to empowering
clients to achieve optimal outcomes and to promoting best practices in
therapeutic support.
