Specialist Couple Therapist & Grief Counsellor
When people first speak with me, they express feelings like, desperate, angry, helpless, stressed, lost, no-sense-of–belonging, not-good-enough, overwhelmed, and not-knowing-where-to-start. You may be feeling desperate, finding your life has unravelled, and that you have lost your way… When we meet, you are inviting me alongside you on your journey seeking understanding, meaning, and direction. I am a specialist on couple relationships, grief and loss, and NDIS disability.
I’m Robin. I’m a Masters qualified counsellor, working online and in-person in Forster-Tuncurry with couple relationships, individuals, and NDIS participants on relationship skills and emotional regulation. With specialisation in EFT Couple Therapy, infidelity and betrayal, I am also a grief and loss specialist, and work with healing trauma using Sensorimotor Art Therapy®.
Relationships are at the heart of our well-being. We each are wired for stable connection, and having secure attachments helps us make sense of life and face its challenges with resilience. Whether grieving the loss of a loved one, navigating relationship challenges, or seeking emotional balance, finding our place of belonging is essential. Unspoken questions are core to many emotional struggles: "Do you love me? Are you there for me? Can I trust you?" It’s crucial for those healing from relationship trauma to have a safe, non-judgmental space to confront and resolve those deep wounds. Therapy takes courage, and with strength and determination you can face your unspoken issues and find your way forward.
Married forever and happily, I’m a grandma and mum of with four adult children. I love bush walking, reading, and great coffee. Having worked through my own life traumas too, I have lived wisdom, and love seeing people reach their true potential no matter what may hold them back, be it disability, discrimination, or just the traumas of life.
