Minela has completed a double degree; Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology) / Bachelor of Social Work & a Masters in Counselling; subsequent to her degrees, she practices within a strengths-based and client-centered framework.

Minela strives to maintain a passion to be an advocate/counsellor when it comes to assisting victim/survivors as she specializes with over 10 years working in Family Violence. Minela has extensive knowledge and skills in implementing risk assessments and safety plans where there are Family and Adolescent Violence in the home. Minela has worked in educational, hospital, government, court and social service settings. Minela is also an accredited senior social worker & supervisor.
